The Loreto Aprutino's Civic Museums list

  • Acerbo Museum of Castelli's Ceramics
    The Acerbo Museum is composed of 6 expositive rooms, and inside them there is the collection of Giacomo Acerbo, Baron. This ceramic collection is composed by 570 pieces, most of all belonging to the Castelli's production, and are dated from the middle of the 16th century to the 19th century. The preparation has been made by the architect Leonardo Palladini, and the Museum was opened in the 1957 in the same building where is now.

  • "Casamarte" Antiquarium
    The “Casamarte” Antiquarium, opened in december 1998, preserves findings coming from excavations in all the municipal territory and from a private collection made available by Maria Beatrice Bassino Casamarte, Baroness. The Casamarte Collection is composed of about 300 pieces belonging to the period between the prehistory and the early Middle Ages gathered by Antonio Casamarte, a work started from the end of 1800.

  • Ethnographic Museum of Farming Traditions
    The Museum is set inside an old convent next to San Francesco Church, and it gives visitors the possibility to appreciate the rural life of long time ago, showing tools, clothes and rooms. Presently under renovation.

  • Oil Museum
    The Oil Museum is one of the Municipal Museums in Loreto Aprutino, opened in 2005, an old oil mill of 1880 renovated. The oil mill has been built by Raffaele Baldini Palladini, land owner and oil producer, who asked his friend Francesco Paolo Michetti to plan his factory.

  • Regional Oleoteca
    The Regional “Oleoteca”- Abruzzo oil art and history Museum, it's a good example of connection between history and present days. In fact it preserves old oil machines and at the same time it gathers all the extra-virgin olive oil products of the region, DOP, organic and mono type.
